Vigilant Software introduces new content to its online tool, Compliance Manager to support organisations with GDPR compliance

Ely, United Kingdom, 23 November 2017 – Leading compliance software developer, Vigilant Software, has introduced new content to its online tool, Compliance Manager, to help organisations keep track of their EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) compliance.

The new content introduced to the Compliance Manager from Vigilant Software now includes a curated list of critical articles of the GDPR to help users with their compliance projects, alongside the statutory and regulatory requirements of UK laws relating to information security.

Alan Calder, the founder and Executive Chairman of Vigilant Software, said: “The new addition is designed to help users identity the articles required for the fast-approaching GDPR compliance deadline on 25 May 2018. The tool is designed to save time and cost by providing a structured approach to implementing the GDPR and standardised compliance frameworks such as ISO 27001, the industry best-practice for information security management system (ISMS).”

The GDPR articles have been mapped against ISO 27001 controls so that users can readily understand which controls can be implemented in order to achieve compliance with the Regulation.  The tool also includes implementation guidance written by our data protection experts that will help users to understand what action is required of them and their compliance project.

The new content is designed to save users time and money in their GDPR compliance project.

Compliance Manager integrates seamlessly with Vigilant Software’s Data Flow Mapping Tool, which organisations can use to map the flow of personal data through their business processes.

This integration makes it easy to record which security controls have been applied to a process and whether a process is governed by specific regulatory, statutory or contractual requirements.
